Pete Risano knows pets. He also knows the products and services that contribute to their health and wellness, which, in turn, contributes to their owners' overall wellbeing. Since 2007, Pete is has been president of Pet Life – formerly The Kennel Shop – which he rebranded and doubled the number of stores. His vision and management skills have boosted Pet Life revenue by 250%.

Prior to Pet Life, Pete spent 17 years at New Jersey Pets and oversaw its merger with Petco in 2005. As Petco district manager for Central NJ, he successfully managed a staff of over 150 employees.

Attesting to his dedication to pet care and his leadership role in the industry, Pete is a member of the executive board of the prestigious World Pet Association. The WPA is a non-profit organization that promotes pet education and interacts with owners so they can create healthier and happier lifestyles for pets, and for themselves.
